Gahanna, OH
John Clark founded
Gahanna back in 1849 when his father purchased 800 acres from
Governor Worthington in 1814. John Clark named his
property Gahanna Plantation. Gahanna is an old Native
American word for three creeks joining into one which is the
former Big Walnut Creek. The City of Gahanna's Seal
refers to this confluence of three creeks with the inscription
"Three In One". Gahanna is a blend of old with
it's historic downtown and new with it's every growing
communities and business parks. |
